Please make your special booking for animal transportation as soon as possible, but not later than 3 working days before departure.  To do so, please contact  our travel center or download our registration form for special services.
Import regulations, customs documents, veterinary health certificates, inoculations, customs specifications for foreign countries etc. are all the responsibility of the passenger. Please contact the Foreign Embassy of the country you are visiting for information on import requirements, e.g. for inoculations and identification.
Animals may only travel if accompanied by a passenger, and must be registered. Please observe the relevant entry conditions.

Animal passport

Animal passports have been a legal requirement since 1 October 2004. Anyone wishing to take a dog or cat abroad will need the blue EU document for their four-legged friend. It is valid in all member states of the European Union, and confirms that the animal has been inoculated against rabies. The international certificate of inoculation previously issued will apply for twelve months from issue.
For further information please contact your veterinarian or the Federal Department for Consumer Protection, Nutrition and AgricultureTravelling in the cabin.
If it does not exceed the permitted limited number of animals that can travel in the cabin, we will be pleased to take one dog or cat weighing up to 6 kg (incl. container) per passenger in the cabin. The costs 20 euro for one-way flights and 40 euro for return flights.
We regret that in the interest of all passengers we can only accept a limited number of pets in the cabin, and that animals must stay on the floor in their locked container for the duration of the flight.
The size of the lockable container (ventilated and waterproof; available from pet shops) must not exceed the published dimensions for hand baggage of length 55 cm, width 40 cm, height 20 cm.
The transport of budgerigars and small turtles in the cabin is allowed at a cost of 10 euro for both one-way and return flights. The regulations for applicable containers apply accordingly.
