Dear Bonus members,
SunExpress Bonus website is currently under maintenance and will be back very shortly. We are sorry for this inconvenience.
Sunny greetings,
SunExpress Bonus Team
Frankfurt, June 26, 2018 – Flexibility pays off – As of now, SunExpress is introducing a dynamic rebooking system with which flexible travellers can save cash. If you book your SunExpress flight via the website and provide your contact details, the airline will contact you about two weeks prior to your departure. Anyone who can or would like to depart one day earlier or later will receive a free rebooking and, of course, financial compensation directly to the given bank account. The system was developed in cooperation with the American Start Up Volantio Inc. and has already been tested as a pilot project in recent months.
“Travellers visiting friends or family in Türkiye (Turkey), in particular, are often flexible in their departure time. With the new service we are now offering these passengers a lucrative bonus for their flexibility when rebooking – and at the same time we can fill our aircraft more flexible and in line with demand without upsetting the customers,” says Peter Glade. “We have already tested the system and received consistently positive feedback from our customers.”
With the new system, SunExpress can react even more flexible to customer requests. “For instance, if, a few days before departure, a customer or a whole group of customers want to fly but the flight is fully booked,” explains Peter Glade, Commercial Director of the airline. But maybe some customers are willing to take another flight. As of now, I can’t reach these customers. Our new tool solves this problem without overbooking the flight or rejecting customers.”
SunExpress has made it its business not only to grow in terms of aircrafts and the route network on offer, but also to work with a wide range of innovations that further enhance the travel experience and make it even more comfortable. “Digitalization plays a particularly important role in the aviation industry. Thanks to our open IT architecture and corporate culture, we are particularly agile and can implement innovations quickly – an advantage that makes us a pioneer in digital innovations in the leisure travel business. Also, it explains why many startups enjoy working with us,” explains Peter Glade, who also stresses that the implementation of the project with the American startup Volantio took only a few weeks from the first meeting to the first test.
SunExpress recently announced a new partnership for the Inflight Entertainment System on board of the Boeing 737 aircrafts and was the first leisure airline to enable the collection of Payback points on flights. More information about SunExpress is available at www.sunexpress.com/de.
