New destinations in summer 2018: SunExpress expands its route network from Zurich to Türkiye (Turkey)

Leisure airline takes off in Zurich this summer with around 200,000 seats

Frankfurt, June 20, 2018 – SunExpress offers even more flights from Zurich to Türkiye (Turkey): This summer, the Leisure airline will fly to a total of four destinations in Türkiye (Turkey) from Zurich and increase its services to 200,000 seats. From today SunExpress offers its passengers a flight to the Turkish capital Ankara every Wednesday and from 21 June every Thursday to the Turkish Gaziantep.

Today, Wednesday, the guests of the first flight XQ 733 from Zurich to Ankara were welcomed with a gate event.

“We are delighted to welcome the first passengers on flights to Ankara here at Zurich Airport today. With this offer we are meeting the increasing demand for flights to Türkiye (Turkey). Besides the tourist destinations to Antalya and Izmir, our flights to Ankara and Gaziantep will undoubtedly make it much easier for the local Turkish community to visit family and friends,” says Wilken Bellmann, Head of Network Planning and Scheduling at SunExpress.

In addition to the new destinations, Antalya and Izmir are also on the flight schedule: Lovers of the trend destination Antalya even have the opportunity to take off from Zurich to the Turkish Riviera with SunExpress up to three times a day in the summer. SunExpress is also expanding its services to Izmir, flying up to six times a week to the Turkish Aegean.
