Stuttgart airport (STR) is the largest airport in Baden-Württemberg and the sixth largest in the Federal Republic. It lies within the area of the cities of Leinfelden-Echterdingen and Filderstadt – about 12km from the centre of Stuttgart. The facility has a landing strip and five terminals. The airport is linked to the city’s S-Bahn network so it is possible to reach the main station and many other parts of the city in just a few minutes.
