SunExpress Hosts 5th Annual Golf Cup
- UK and Ireland agents take home prizes -
26 January, 2026: Earlier this month (7thth – 10th January), SunExpress held its 5th SunExpress Golf Cup for tourism professionals in Belek with 64 travel agents selected to attend.
The event offered participating travel agents the opportunity to experience first-hand the benefits of the Antalya region as both a premier winter sun destination and one of Europe’s leading golf hotspots. Alongside some competitive golf, attendees gained valuable insights into SunExpress’ latest products and offers. Enjoying warm winter temperatures under the Turkish sun, the group experienced several days full of sporting highlights and with first-class hospitality.
UK-based agent Paramjit Singh Khan from Moresand Ltd. England claimed the Handicap Class B trophy, posting an impressive net Stableford score of 43 from a handicap of 16.8.
The Men’s title in the Golf Cup was won by James Airey from Sunway Travel in Dublin, Ireland, while fellow Irish participant Martin Dempsey from Dempsey Travel Ireland secured the Handicap Class A trophy.
Michael Schober, Senior Manager B2B Relations at SunExpress said: “The SunExpress Golf Cup has now firmly established itself in the industry. It provides our sales partners with authentic experiences that offer real added value in customer consulting. The Belek region near Antalya in particular has developed into an excellent destination for golf, which is also ideal as a winter destination.
“Through initiatives like our Golf Cup, we aim to further strengthen Antalya’s reputation as a leading golf region while introducing innovative and attractive sales tools such as the SunExpress Golf Club programme.”
